The Showcase
Framework

The evaluation system rates players on six different Performance Categories: Infield, Outfield, Hitting, Pitching, Catching, and Showcase - our standard for elite attributes like attitude and engagement.

Within each Performance Category, there are specific Skills that are desired at different positions on the field.

Within each set of Skills, there are specific Traits that evaluators are looking for.

This organized method guarantees that evaluations are objective, consistent, and transparent, supporting a fair tryout process.

Exceeding Expectations

A score of 4 represents the baseline, established by observing one or two current players who exemplify the team's ideal standard. This approach keeps the evaluation anchored to real-world performance levels rather than abstract or unrealistic expectations.

How We Set the Baseline

[ Athletes Only ]

What This Means for Athletes

• Clear understanding of strengths and gaps through objective metrics.

• Fair comparison against players at the same level using standardized data.

• A trackable profile that shows development and growth over time.

• A trusted snapshot coaches and recruiters can review for recruiting decisions.

Sharing Results with Families

Evaluation results are shared directly with families, providing a constructive basis for home discussions regarding player growth and specific developmental focus areas for future tryouts and season planning.

What if my player gets a high score and is not selected?

Selection decisions are based on the organizational priorities and positional needs. Even when a player achieves a high score, they may not be selected for the final roster due to situational roster depth.
